Payment Terms and Conditions

1. Payment & Enrollment

  • To enroll in any driving package or course, full payment must be received before the final class or road test session.

  • Payment methods accepted: e-transfer, debit, or credit card.

  • Students with unpaid balances will not be permitted to take the final test or receive a course completion certificate.


2. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy

  • If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, a minimum of 5 hours’ notice must be provided.

  • Cancellations with less than 5 hours’ notice or a no-show will incur a $30 fee.

  • There are no cancellation charges if notice is given at least 5 hours in advance.

  • If the school must cancel or reschedule due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, or unsafe weather conditions, the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra cost.


3. Refund Policy

  • Packages 1, 2, 3 & 6:
    Once you are enrolled in the E-Learning Course, the registration fee is non-refundable once the E-Learning link has been generated.

  • Packages 4 & 5:
    The registration fee is non-refundable after 72 hours from the time of enrollment.

  • Refunds for other services, if applicable, will be considered on a case-by-case basis and processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.


4. Returned Payments & NSF Fees

  • If a cheque is returned or an e-transfer fails, a $40 fee will be charged, and the student will be responsible for any additional bank or transaction charges.

  • Lessons and scheduling may be suspended until payment is fully settled.


5. Course Completion & Certification

  • Anyone may take the final road test; however, a course completion certificate will only be issued after all course requirements are met and full payment has been received.

  • Students using a JMJ Driving School vehicle for the road test must pay any associated fee before the test date.


6. Changes to Fees or Services

  • JMJ Driving School reserves the right to adjust course fees, lesson structures, or payment terms at any time. Students enrolled under existing agreements will continue under their original terms.


7. Student Responsibility

  • Students must arrive on time, hold a valid learner’s permit or license, and follow instructor guidance. Missed lessons due to the student’s fault remain payable.

  • The school is not responsible for road test results or delays caused by factors beyond its control.


8. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, and any disputes shall be resolved within its jurisdiction.

  • By enrolling, the student acknowledges having read and agreed to these terms.
